Energy and the body... My musings.

I've been all over the map in terms of careers in my life. I've been a musician, a geologist, an engineer, and now a Reiki therapist, process art facilitator, and an assistant in finding joy through movement. These careers may sound extremely random, but I believe all are linked.

We are all familar with the energy we use in our daily lives. Our computers, our phones, the lights in our homes... What about the other forms of energy? When you go to a concert, do you feel the base beat moving through your belly? Sound energy. Have you stood in the sunlight on a cold day and been warmed by the sun? Heat energy. Have you every walked into a room and felt uncomfortable, later to find out, the other people in the room had been fighting? Emotional Energy. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a beloved pet, and felt like your heart would burst from so much love? Emotional, hormon energy. Do you rember what it felt like the first time after Covid lockdowns that you hugged a special friend you hadn't physically seen in two years? Touch energy. Have you ever been so angry that your fists were clenched and you were shaking? Negative emotional energy. With Reiki, with process art, and with healing movment we can tap into the energies of the body. We can find ways to encourage, and strengthen the energy that serves our best life.
